Pronex Cervical Traction Device - This is not the Economy Pronex II
Pronex requires no assembly, no weights, no cables, no water bags, no springs or levers and is restraint free. The Pronex® is the only traction device that creates an even distraction in the anterior and posterior cervical disks while supporting the cervical curve. Includes soft case and instructional DVD. Measure neck circumference.
Pronex is the original, more comfortable, higher grade Cervical Traction Device - Not to be confused with the less comfortable, economy-grade Pronex II Cervical Traction Device. Pronex II does not have the preferred blue foam cushions that rest on the shoulders for a far more comfortable cervical traction. The PRONEX II uses the bellows alone to cushion the shoulders. PRONEX is easy to use, comfortable, non-threatening, portable, weighing less than 2 kg. No assembly, no weights, no cables, no springs or levers. PRONEX is user friendly and restraint free. Reduces the need for costly pain medication. PRONEX Cervical Traction Unit helps break the pain cycle. PRONEX has a unique design which provides anatomically correct traction that supports the natural curve of the cervical spine and provides an even distraction in the anterior and posterior cervical discs. PRONEX does not aggravate the temporomandibular joint. Encourages regular use by the patient at home, helping to break the chronic pain cycle. Professionally conducted surveys prove that PRONEX relieves pain, promotes the healing process, and helps patients resume normal work and social activities. Pays for itself: Reduces pharmacy bills, minimizes lost workdays, and often eliminates the need for ongoing office visits and drawn-out physical therapy. Patient manages pain control at home.
Design advantages:
- Comfortably supports head and neck.
- Exerts force evenly and gently.
- No pressure on the TM joint.
- Supports normal curvature of cervical spine.
- Gentle traction release.
- Light and simple enough to use while traveling.
- Encourages a high rate of patient compliance.
How PRONEX works: Once in position, the patient uses an inflator bulb to slowly expand the bellows with air, creating a gentle stretch of up to 30 lbs of continuously adjustable traction. An air release valve on the bulb simplifies intermittent and/or static traction and provides a gentle release of pressure. The cushion aligns with and supports the occiput as the bellows expands against the upper trapezius. PRONEX supports the natural alignment of the cervical spine for maximum comfort and stretch. As the bellows expands, gentle pressure comfortably lifts the head, applying traction while supporting the cervical curve.
